Third Watch on Tubi. An old NBC drama from 1999-2005 about NYPD, and NYFD. Mainly about police and paramedics but also fire. I never watched this show when it was on TV, I guess that was before we had DVRs. Pretty good show, a throwback to a pre-woke time. It's interesting because the 9/11 attacks occur while the show was running and the Season 3 episodes incorporate that into the story. 6 seasons, 22 episodes each.

I get a weekly email offering books for teachers. One of the featured books in this weeks email was Lupin. You can find the limited run tv series on Netflix or Hulu. It was really well done. Had no idea until today that it was also a book.

Max:  Our Flag Means Death  A pirate series.  But not much pirating and more on the people stuff.  It's a strange series, and looking up the history, at least a little bit is based on truth.  it's just a weird series, not sure if I like it or not.  It just doesn't vibe with what I think pirates should be.  Would be interested if anyone else has watched it, what they thought of this series.

If you liked Justified, I think you'll like this one too. A little edgier, but well done, IMO.

It was actually crap. Crap because they went gay pandering trying to run that storyline into history where it didn't exist. I know it's supposed to be spoof comedy but it is too contrived and forced.

I watched Old Dads because I read some terrible reviews that sounded like @Taylor wrote them.  (Except for the one that gave a a bad review because “how about a movie for the ‘Old Moms’ out there?”)  

So since women and millennials hated it, I knew it was right up my alley.  I had to call my wife in a couple times to watch clips where she just shook her head and said “oh no, it’s you”.

Guy Ritchie's The Covenant on Amazon Prime

It's the story of an Army sergeant who returns to Afghanistan to rescue an Afghan interpreter who previously had saved the sergeant's life.

Really good movie, highly recommend.

I enjoyed it.  It was a tad bit longer than it needed to be, IMO.  They could have cut out some of the scenes that dragged on.  Overall, worth watching though.

Apple TV+ hikes price once again

My wife and I went to see Killers of the Flower Moon this weekend. The story is fine and the acting is good. Scorsese manages to keep your attention but my goodness 3 1/2 hours is too long to sit in a theater. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I saw it at home with the pause button and convenient toilet

That's the way I felt about Oppenheimer. Would have rather watched it at home, maybe break it up into a couple of nights.
