Angels minor leaguers blast Arte Moreno for terrible living conditions

Are we comparing being a minor leaguer to other young adult occupations?  I highly doubt a minor leaguer can have a second job during the season.  They can have multiple jobs in the off season, which is five months, but my understanding is their season starts in mid February for spring training and they start to get paid in late April or May.

I have no idea what goes into operating a major league franchise. That's why I don't instruct owners how they should do it.

You know enough to have an educated enough opinion. Is this the area where you’d invest the bare minimum?

Personally? Perhaps not. But I don't know that's what is being done. I'm sure there are things that can be diminished to get to the bare minimum.

I haven't.

You basically are. You're saying they should stop whining because they make more than enough money to live relatively comfortably.

Why make such a judgment for them but be unwilling to make a judgment for the owners?

When did I say they should stop whining? I don't care if they whine. I don't care if they find it hard to be a minor leaguer.  My position has always been that if they don't like the situation they're in, change it.

Like an adult.

Such a cop out perspective. It's not very easy for everyone to change their life situation. There are things about my current job I don't love, but if I wanted to change jobs or employers, it wouldn't be simple and quick.

Irs not only about changing jobs. There are things that can be done to change your situation while remaining at your present occupation.

So once again the complaint is that something isn’t easy.

For the 20th time, welcome to life.

So let's take the whiners off the table. Now it's only about the Angels.

Do you care if the Angels have an infrastructure that is as good or better than our competition?

MiLB development, scouting, front office analytics, international signings, etc.

Sure, why not?

I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, however. Things i truly think need improvement, i do what I can to make them better.

Unless there's a current or former minor leaguer who wants to weigh in with a different perspective, I'll go ahead and believe the minor leaguers who are speaking out.

FWIW, Ive spoken to 3 today about this article. All 3 said this is league wide, not an Angels thing.
