This is kind of the opposite of the Angels changing their name to ‘Los Angeles.’

History, tradition and brand identification is hard to put a value on. It will be interesting to see if there are any measurable affects from Cleveland throwing theirs away.

The only problem Strad is this entire subject of the name change IS political.  It just is.

You can’t discuss it without that being at the center of it.

It isn't political though. It was an baseball organization decision. The Guardians did what they thought was best for them.
