OK Perry, time to sell

I'm not mixing him up it's just been awhile, lol. I remember the minor league K rate around 30%, the lack of walks and his pull tendency. I didn't think he'd flame out but I didn't expect him to have the career Howie Kendrick did, more of a Tony Batista type.

Batista/Grichuk are likely decent comps for his floor had the walk/k rates not improved.  The ridiculously high hard contact likely guaranteed better batting averages... Not that he would have had any control over that, I'm saying he would have fluked his way to some high averages  because of the consistently hard contact.

His biggest issues, what he had not shown he could overcome yet was LHPers.  They owned him.   His splits made clear where his struggles were.  The other thing that may have screwed him ... shifting.  He was ridiculously strong and could pull any pitch regardless of how far outside it was.  It was freakish actually.

Would you trade Raisel Iglesias to the Dodgers (desperate for a closer) for the following package:

Dodgers get: Raisel Iglesias & Andrew Heaney

Angels get: RHP Josiah Gray & C Diego Cartaya

Raisel certainly didn't help his value with tonight's stinker but the Dodgers wouldn't make that trade.

Trout: Hurt. No timetable to return

Rendon: Hurt. No timetable to return.

Walsh: Hurt. Not ruling out an IL stint

Cobb: Blister may prevent at least his next start.

Upton: Back to shit

Defense: Still bad

Bullpen: Even worse

5 games back of a wild card play-in game and a projected 10% chance of getting there.

Lots of reasons to sell. Only things going right are the rotation turning it around and Ohtani having an MVP season. SELL. SELL. SELL.

Fletcher, Raisel, and Sandoval are also plusses.
