This just tells you the mindset of this team. There's no desire to win or to protect. You don't see the other team, once that are in contention let this go. 

If it was one pitch i get it, but 2? and than somehow he was able to get his command back against Rendon.

You guys are reading way too much into this.  The attitude of the team isn’t because Maddon gives some bullshit quote.  The team isn’t losing because of some laid back attitude. They are losing because the pitching has sucked.  This team isn’t motivation or intensity away from being good.  They are good pitching away from being good.  Also that edge that teams have isn’t because of the manager, it is because of players that have an edge.  We don’t have that.  If Trout would have charged the mound the team would have followed.   He didn’t, they didn’t.  It isn’t a Maddon personality thing, it’s a personnel thing.  I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this escalates tomorrow or Thursday when the Angels are pitching.

Day late and a dollar short. If they retaliate it’ll be because there’s noise from the public. I agree this team isn’t losing because of their fire or lack there of. The teams not playing well that’s why they suck at the moment. But being politically correct after where you’re best player gets head hunter for some unwritten rule is disappointing to say the least.

No they won’t retaliate because of us.  If they retaliate it’s because someone was sick of the bullshit. And if the players agree that Maddon was being politically correct then they’ll put matters into their own hands.

How humiliating for the Angels. And baseball. There are unwritten rules factoring respect and reputation. This game situation had no strategic or competitive purpose. 

If it was really unintentionally wild then the catcher should have said something to Trout. And the lazy ump was just waiting for the monotonous game to end and couldn't be bothered with a warning. 

Such a passive team with little fire or aggression.

Another lukewarm response litmus test to the Angels character. No one even outraged or taking a step to the top of the dugout.

Trout shouldn’t have to charge the mound in order for someone to pipe up. This team rolled over much like they have the last decade during a moment in which they needed to stand up for their guy.

Also, other teams and pitchers now know that they don’t have to answer to anyone for throwing whatever they want at Trout.
