Hands down the greatest show of all time.

I go back and forth. I want to watch it again, but the last time I tried it aged pretty poorly. Not the writing, but the cinematography. It's like watching a 90's porn.

Do you know if the blu ray's are also in 4:3?

I do agree it isn't the most visually oriented show.

Disclaimer - I haven't seen the entire series and will finish it at some point.  That said the cinematography to me made it feel more authentic given where it took place.  It wasn't in a nice area or cop station that was well funded it was in a ghetto and the type of place where most cops just like the residents are just trying to keep their head above water most days.

When I tried to watch it again it was the HBO redo where they did it in HD or something like that. The pixelation was a bit off.

I was excited when this dropped, too. I may watch this again, though.

I saw both. I first saw it when I would go to Blockbuster Video and would rent the DVD's. It fit and was a great show.

I tried to watch it again many years ago through HBO On Demand, and we just kind of died off. I tried again when HBO did some kind of remaster and update of the show, but it still kind of fell flat.

Some of it, too, is that it's a slow burn. I'd like to watch it again, though. I do enjoy all the YouTubes about best or least favorite character, episode, and the internal thoughts, etc.

Makes sense then it would be awkward on a re-watch where they tried to update it.  I finally took the plunge after seeing it recommended on here by a lot of people and coming across it on prime.  Immediately when it started it felt low budget because of the way it looked but then it felt fitting given the content and where it took place.

Yeah, I took some time off of life around 2011 or so. I binged The Sopranos and then The Wire. It all fit and was classics.

Part of me thinks it's just the tech that caught up, even when they did the redo.

Still a great show and one I want to watch again, just for season 4.

In the pilot episode the detectives are all using typewriters... it's a pretty strong theme throughout the series.

So I would assume with so many Governors doing unconstitutional things we will see a crazy amount of Governors jailed for doing this, right?  You’d think AG Barr would order them arrested or something?   And if AG Barr doesn’t do that, then what?  Does that mean it wasn’t unconstitutional or that the AG isn’t doing his job?  Or are we going to hear that they only reason they opened up the businesses is because they were afraid of legal ramifications?

I readily admit I dont know what I am talking about here, but I see so many people on the far right saying this is unconstitutional, so if that is indeed the case then there will be ramifications.  If there are no ramifications then it wasn’t actually unconstitutional, or there was previous legal precedents, right?  What would be the other answer?

There will be lawsuits and court hearings. More than just cities wanting beaches open.

They’re called small business owners.

Ok so a governor can go unchecked until someone sued them?   They can do things that are unconstitutional until they get sued?  There’s no punishment for this person unless they get sued?
