LOL this off-season has been a debacle so far.

Billy and the Angels being at the Winter Meetings still feels kind of like that weird situation where you're at a party, and all your friends left already, and it's getting late and everyone is saying out loud as a hint, "Gosh, it's getting late. Better get cleaned up." And then there's just an uncomfortable silence....

It's one of those depressing ones where you learn never to stay later than you should, for the rest of your life. 

Yeah. That's who the Angels are right now. Still lurking at the party. Not doing anything. Just there still. For some reason....

Which I guess is better than Reagins. That dude hated the Winter Meetings. Openly called them pointless because of modern technology. Then would show up late, and literally run on for down a hall away from reporters just so he didn't have to speak with them.

Anyone remember that one year the stupid SOB was determined to play hard ball and got outbid for Carl Crawford by the Red Sox because he simply didn't show up to the meetings. Then he outright refused to negotiate with Boras regarding Beltre, despite the obvious need and fit. Beltre himself was even staying at Boras' guesthouse in LA. 

Reagins struck out on both.... Then traded Mike Napoli and Juan Rivera, for ALL of Vernon Wells' contract. And Napoli was immediately flipped to the Rangers for a good reliever and came back to absolutely effing haunt the Angels.

Yeah..... It always could be worse.

To be honest I was hoping they’d have their sights set a lot higher than Roark and Lindblom so this doesn’t change much.

Also, fuck, the price of pitching is crazy high this winter. Go get Rendon and best FA arm you can and trade for the other.

that's how i'm feeling too. If pitching will be a weakness you might as well bolster your offense instead of overpaying for mediocrity.

He'll drag on until he gets paid the same AAV as Trout across 7 years. Can you imagine if Trout was a FA this year? Easily 10/400.
