Translation:  Hey Jon, we do love you and we are going to pay you really well, but pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered. . .if push comes to shove we do have other legit options so let’s not get too carried away with the salary demands, OK?

If Maddon wants to come in clean, I hope he doesn’t play poker with the Angels like stalling long enough to get involved with/interview with the Dodgers and Friedman to drive his price up.

That would be annoying.  That would cut into the goodwill of the homecoming for sure.

Should we be worried of a potential Maddon and Dodgers signing if they lose today?

I said that earlier. Maddon would definitely be a front runner for the Dodgers if they lose before the WS

In all honesty, it seems like (and maybe im wrong) that the winning teams of late have had younger, more recently retired guys as managers. The big named guys of yesteryear seem (to me) to be outdated, with mostly guys who were playing in the 2000s as their managers.

Am i crazy?

..... sort of.

Im hoping we get him, just because. (Id rather get a better roster and joe nobody to run it than maddYn and lame replacement arms).

But it seems (to me, maybe im an idiot) that the recent teams all seemed to have younger ausmus type guys. The Giants are the last that come to mind that had an old school manager and won (off the top of my head).
