I hope they don't even go into 2019 with him as the starting 2B. He doesn't solve that hole there. The money is what it is but his best role in helping the team is likely transitioning into their super utility guy off the bench. They need versatility with their bench bats with Ohtani on the team, so having Cozart who can play 2B/3B/SS off the bench fits that bill perfectly.

Ya, I’ve been calling for this.  I think it’s a mistake to give Cozart any position.  He’s a decent, albeit expensive utility guy.  He could end up being valuable in that role.  But geez. It’s tough.  Yet another hole to fill.

I’d still take Calhoun over all present options.  Blash is fucking awful.

As is said on this board: "It's not my money". Still though, Angels gotta start getting better returns on their $$$ investments at some point. The contracts add up and the lack of production to go with it continues to sink them year after year. At least Cozart's contract isn't massive in dollars or length to where it hurts too badly.

We absolutely don't need to give Jabari Blash a chance. This is a team that is trying to make the playoffs. 

They either need to get Calhoun fixed in the next 2-3 weeks or you go and get an actual major leaguer. Waiting around praying that Chris Young turns back the clock to 2009 or Blash does anything with that swing is just frustrating and will cost the team games.

We have Trout, Simmons, and good starting pitching (even without Ohtani). There is absolutely no reason to settle for awful production from guys we know suck
