Schwarber is only 24 and has less than one full year of MLB playing time under his belt. His numbers in the minors are pretty much Ruthian.

The Cubs as a team aren't playing well right now.  Pitching and defense especially. It's a few notches from where it was last year. The long post season takes a toll these days I think. Even as stacked as they are, It's hard to repeat in this day and age..

Thing is, the Cubs have assets to pick up top pitching mid season, and the young players should pick up some hitting momentum when the weather warms up.

That one sucked. Thought that guy was gonna be huge. People knocked him like we overvalued him, but like you said, it was more injuries than lack of talent.

Cameron Maybin .214/.328/.299 after going 5 for 6 and driving in the tying run in the 11th. That's a 34 point jump in his BA, let's hope this is going to be the beginning of Maybin part 2.
