All moralizing aside, the question to ask when wondering if any action will be taken is who among the dictators now running our democracy will profit from the given action. The war machine is always an easy part of the answer although with the megacorporization of everything that's pretty inclusive these days. Anyone else?

So John Kerry's speech was filled with allegations, but no evidence.  He said the words "we know" 22 times in his speech, but he couldn't supply one shred of evidence.

If we help the rebels, we will essentially help Al Qaeda gain control of Syria, or at least expand their influence there greatly.   How can our leaders not see that getting involved in this mess is a huge blunder?

 

we will have troops there for a decade, minimum.    Maybe this is what they want?   Imperialism for the new age?
