KC should win in HOU again. Defense should be healthy and getting Houston back is huge.

Ironically, the last time KC won a playoff game it was against Houston (Oilers) on the road, but I also remember that Oiler team was the hottest team and KC snapped their 10 or 11 game win streak.

McCarron has looked respectable. Steelers have the worst pass defense.

So I get married Saturday at 4pm. My step dad is the biggest steeler fan. The games starts at 5pm lol.

I wouldn't bet against the Steelers though.

I think KC and Pitt win for sure.  I think Min and Wash have a real good shot at winning but I could see both games going either way.

AFC is wide open this year. Originally picked the Chiefs to make it to the Super Bowl when the season started. Lot of good options so I might as well stick with them.

NFC is tough too. Seahawks playing well. Cardinals are studly. And the Panthers look unbeatable. Should be fun.

I'll say Chiefs - Panthers

Pete Carroll had a mediocre first round as NFL coach.

Then, USC happened, and finally Seattle happened.

Nick "I will not now nor will ever be the Alabama football coach" Saban could well take that same trajectory.

Just don't be telling everyone "I will not now nor will ever be the Giants coach."

Bucs fired Lovie Smith. I'm sad about it. Lovie is a good man. Three coaches in five years now. I guess my team are the Browns of the NFC. Dirk Koetter better be promoted to Head Coach. If this franchise is going to make Jameis learn a new system every year like they did to Josh Freeman then they're even more stupid than I thought. In sum- those impatient Keebler Elf-looking s.o.b.'s the Glazer brothers better promote Koetter and be done with it. What a clownshow. I wish sports were fun.

Calvin Johnson considering retirement.

Damn, I hope he gives us one more season. I did think his emotions after he final game this season hinted at a player on his way out.

The Lions could forever be known as the team that inspired both Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson to walk away from football rather than go back for another season.

Broncos name Manning as starter for the playoffs.  Not really surprising as he's obviously the smarter QB of the two but his lack of mobility and arm strength could have the offense sputtering unless the run game is effective.  Brock kept plays alive with his feet that Manning would just take a sack on but Brock also showed he didn't know when to just get rid of the ball.  Peyton looked decent against SD but all of the AFC teams playing on wildcard weekend are much better at getting to the QB.

Sorry to see Coughlin go, but it was time.

That guy was so classy. He had the NY media in his corner calling for GM Jerry Reese's head instead.

Lots of players reaching out with compliments to Tom

Coughlin did a great job building the franchise in Jacksonville - in the beginning. He also made player personnel decisions, and over time some of those put the team in salary cap Hell and led to the current downturn that is just now beginning to abate. His tough, hard-core routine played fine until the team became less successful, and then the players tuned him out. I understand that he learned from that experience, and he was not quite as in-your-face after he got to New York.

AO, it looked like he just shanked it, a dead pull hook. the holder didn't get the laces turned away, so the kicker struck them. i don't know how much of a difference that actually makes, and it certainly doesn't seem like it would make much of a dif on a 27 harder, but that's probably all you're going to hear. saw the kicker afterwards telling the press it was all on him for blowing it.
