I mean, without question. It's all about lining their own pockets and protecting their own interests.

You could give every person in the country a $5,000 check and there'd still be $250 billion left over, based on the current package.

I was just making a joke about people bringing up these questions now that theres a Dem in office.

I think from day one most of us were saying that they were just giving us some of our money back or that should just suspend income taxes until Covid is over.

I think for people who pay $100 a week in income tax it would be pretty significant as well

Sure. 

But poor people don't pay anywhere near that. I pay $200 a month and as of right now it's basically a wash.

Taxes are stupid I agree, but a poor person getting an extra $25 a week doesn't do a whole lot. 

Btw $1400 isn't nearly enough either. I just don't agree that temporarily eliminating income taxes has a significant impact on the low income class.
