Very sad read. Blows me away that anyone would do that to any person who is legitimately there to try and help people.

That's a really baffling element in all of this. But it also points out the heartlessness of ISIS. They have zero compassion for anyone, and zero interest in finding solutions. So typical of the extreme Muslim groups - obey or else.

So, in the fight against ISIS, Turkey has decided to attack the Kurds and now the US is forced to support Turkey (and indirectly, the Muslim Brotherhood as they support Jabhat Fateh al Sham). This is despite the fact that the US, Saudi Arabia and Jordan support the Free Syrian Army while not having much of an issue with the Kurds. What makes things more complicated is how the US declared the Jabhat Fateh al Sham as a terrorist organization.

I can't begin to explain how devastating this is.

Turkey is becoming a more serious problem every day. Here's a visualization of the situation in Syria from CNN:Isis_Syria_alliances_circle_2_1100.png

Hearing stories like this one, and the stuff I've heard about the Mosul Batallions, makes me think IS just won't have enough support to control much of anything soon.

ISIS is doing what it does best, executing almost 300 men and boys in Mosul. They had been used as human shields, and then were killed and buried in a mass grave. Apparently there are hundreds of others who will probably meet a similar fate soon.

Such nice people, those ISIS folks...
