No, they didn't.

Yes they did.

 

Dipoto sat on his hands while every other team was building up pitching depth. Guys like Jarrett Grube and Justin Thomas are behind Blanton on the depth chart. They didn't give themselves the luxury of cutting ties with him.

 

He'll get 10-15 starts minimum this year. And that's just flat out inexcusable from a roster construction standpoint.

I would say they did, because outside of Shoemaker who else is there who can start a game up here? 

Wade LeBlanc?    Uhh, no

 

I said all along they should have kept Williams.   You need at least 7 potential starters, and Williams and Shoemaker would have forced Blanton out.
