My cousin went to a talk he gave at a church in Anaheim last Sunday. He said that Hamilton said he had gained 15 pounds.

Regardless, whether 15 or 28, it is probably impossible to gain that much muscle in 4 months.

All I am saying is that it is impossible to gain 28 pounds of muscle in four months.  Or 20 for that matter. 

 

At least it is impossible to do so naturally.  I wasn't at all suggesting that Hamilton is on the juice (excuse the pun).  In fact, I was actually thinking more along the lines of (1) the authors are wrong, (2) Hamilton is embellishing, or (3) he has gained a combo of fat and muscle. 

 

But now you have me thinking that, in all likelihood, he has in fact gained 20+ pounds of muscle and has done so through a vigorous diet of protein powder and PEDs.

Why didn't anyone see this coming? They moved from Texas to Cali, found the In n Out and Hamilton went full Trout eating 6 double doubles for lunch. You never go full Trout unless you want to show up 20 pounds heavier in Spring Training.

Maybe not impossible, but extremely hard for a guy who was already in great shape. There is only so much more time a guy can dedicate to working out. There are diminishing returns.

I don't think he's gained 28 pounds of muscle, but 15 is possible. He must've really upped the calorie intake and took mass gaining supplements. He also said he's never lifted heavy weight, newbies tend to put on muscle a lot of quicker than people who lift regularly.
