A scout who watched Masahiro Tanaka pitch in the Japan Series is "worried about his arm."



The scout, who requested anonymity, was specifically concerned about the workload Tanaka was asked to assume in Japan. The star hurler threw 160 pitches in a complete-game loss in Game 6 of the Japan Series on Saturday and threw 15 more pitches to earn the save in Game 7. Tanaka, who turned 25 last week, is expected to be pursued by half the league when the Rakuten Eagles post him this winter. It might take a $60 million posting fee to win the right to negotiate with Tanaka, then could require an additional $60 million to ink the right-hander.
