To elaborate... in case you missed it.

In the top of the 10th with two outs, Gary Sanchez swung and missed at what should have been strike 3.  He tried to plead to the umpire that he fouled it off and the ump bought it.  It was an AJ PIerz;ynski move.  Then... he took a called 3rd strike next and complained about it all the way until the bottom of the 10th when he took his spot behind the plate.

The Carlos Correa homerun was perfect justice.

Gary Sanchez is a POS, of the AJ Pierzynski variety.

If you go back to that thread... you'll see reference to a certain Canadian, who apparently was/is a big Gary Sanchez fan.

If you search "Gary Sanchez is a POS" - (put your search in quotes)... you'll see I've been saying that ever since that day.

And, if Ohtani is allowed to walk away, the Angels will have to convince at least two of them to come to Anaheim in an attempt to fill the hole in the rotation.  How about a similar list for the hitters, so that we can dream about them?

You sign Urias or Nola and while they aren’t Shohei they are aces that can pitch every fifth day.

Well, if you can get Nola, I don't think you'd need two - Nola is on par with Ohtani in terms of being an ace.  If Nola was signed, we'd likely roll with a 5 man rotation instead, and we'd have something like Nola, Sandoval, Anderson, Detmers, Suarez, which would be just as good as what we have now, without having to really worry about a 6th SP.

But of course, you would need a hitter to replace Ohtani as well.  If Ohtani did indeed leave, and we signed Nola or Urias to take his place, we could likely use our SP prospect surplus to acquire a hitter.

Not an ideal route, but just an example of how we could recover fairly readily if Ohtani leaves.

All I can figure is that Chafin and Moore are asking for the moon, and thus like Wacha still unsigned?

Or their markets are so robust that they’re waiting to see if a team adds an extra year or a few million more AAV. Or just sifting through offers.

Heyman said the other day that Chafin’s market was heating up.
