So if Judge, at age 30, got a 9/360, what will Ohtani get?  Ohtani will be 1 year younger, 29, next free agency.

10/450?  10/500?

I could have sworn someone BLASTED me for suggesting Ohtani can possibly get 50 mil per year. Doesn't look so far off, does it now?

I see your point, but I think this really only holds water if the Dodgers were like, the 7th or 8th best team in the league that somehow snuck in, got hot, and won it all.  But they were the best team in the sport that year (record wise) and I don't think there was any kind of doubt that they would have made it into the playoffs in a normal 162 game season.

Every October, the same scenario plays out about getting hot.  The Phillies arguably did that now and almost won it all.

I'm all for mocking Dodger fans and saying it's not real just to mess with them, but in reality I think that title counts as much as any, especially more than the Astros 2017 one.

You feel very strong about something… just odd it’s being talked about in the free agent thread of an angels fan forum.

i can point you in the way of the dodgers forums if you want …

But we trust Jon Heyman, so at this point they are both as reliable.
MLB Network just talked about it so i'd say there's more truth to it.

Judge in that lineup would be INSANE.  It'd be hard to envision them re-signing Soto in 2 years, but they would clearly be pushing all their chips into the center to win NOW, which is exciting and fun to see.

Maybe they'll sign Correa.  Not as exciting as Judge, but still a fantastic move.

I was thinking 8 yrs/$360 million, same AAV prediction.  But would be happy to see the Halos sign him for 9 yrs/$405 million.

If Ohtani were all about the money, I think he could break both the AAV record as well as the total commitment record.  But he's not, so I think he will sign for perhaps a bit less than expected, but at the organization that he feels is the best fit for him.
