I don't think Moody's forecast takes into account the black swan effect that is Donald Trump as we've never seen a president who acts like him.  Every day he says or does something that while it may be a misdirect continues to make people a bit more tired of him and brings more negative attention to his presidency.  If the dems were to put forth a candidate who appealed more to independents I think they'd have a great shot but that likely isn't happening.  If Trump wasn't a narcissistic chud I'd agree with Moody's yet here we are with both parties doing some of their best work to make some voters want to vote against them.

Ironic that the phone call that may get Trump impeached might also prove to be the beginning of the end for Biden as a candidate. There's going to be a lot more focus on his dealings with Ukraine, etc and the nepotism shown to his son Hunter. These questions will dog him no end on the campaign trail.

The American people will be faced with the choice between Trump and the socialist harpy Warren. This, at a time when the stock market may reach new highs and the economy in 2020 continues to hum along at a nice pace. The president may be impeached in the House, sure, but they'll never get 20 Republicans to vote for conviction in the Senate, and there could be a backlash against the Dems after this is all over.

I like to imagine the Benny Hill music playing while everyone in the WH is running around on a daily basis trying to put out fires and prevent Trump from doing something dumber than the previous day.
