For those of us that saw it live, it did not look good at all. I hope he recovers 100%.

He will. The 8-10 week prognosis means that it is a non-displaced fracture. These usually heal without complication. Displaced would require surgery and ORIF. This would have sucked.

Yeah, that sucks.

Dude misses the All Star Game and up two 2 1/2 months of the rest of the season when he was having a career year.

There's really no way we can get anything in return for him unless he comes back in September, crushes it and we trade him in the offseason.

What a complete clusterfuck of a season this has been. But forget about us fans and any chance at making the playoffs this season, I feel really bad for Tommy.

And you can add to that list any chance of winning Comeback Player of the Year award. Maybe next year he'll have a similar season and win it next year!

It would have been a nice jesture to replace LaStella with an Angels player to sub for him in the game. Ohtani would have been a good choice.

I doubt LaStella shows up for the game. He will be on crutches and it would be like being invited to your ex girlfriends wedding after only breaking up a short time earlier.

Such a shame. What an outstanding season he was having. Maybe this helps the Angels resign him at a reasonable rate. He is still young and can come back from this kind of injury. Bummer he has to miss the All Star game as well.

he's 30 and they have him under club control for next year.

He could maybe still. Immediately after being announced as LaStella's replacement, Brandon Lowe got injured and is also on the IL as well.
