Biden is wrong. Five Supreme court justices have been picked during election years. He is emphatic about this but wrong. The last was selected by Ronald Reagan. About the only reason so few have been chosen is it requires one to die or retire during an election year.

He’s banking on his voters not fact checking it for themselves

He isn't fact checking himself, he's a politician that was weened on lying first and seeing if anyone notices later. Since news cycles were slow, a retraction was never needed and everyone moved on. But today a claim can be fact checked before the next question is asked. Too bad the reporter didn't call him out on the spot and disrupt his false narrative.
