This is one of those situations where people would have flipped had Alvarez blown it, considering the righties coming up. "Why was Alvarez left in to face Khana??? Sosh is so f'n stupid!"

Exactly this.  It’s a no win situation for a manager.  It’s entirely on the players being miserable failures.

Or you'd look at the numbers and realize it would have been the right decision, therefore not placing the blame at Scioscia's feet. 

 

Who would've been mad had Scioscia left Alvarez in instead of Bedrosian? Only trolls.
