Maybe, just maybe, Kole will lay down a bunt in the 8th inning to break up a no hitter by Verlander during a scoreless pitching duel between V and Richards. Verlander cusses out Kole, Kole steals second, gets to 3rd on a bad throw to second and scores on a wild pitch by Verlander has he was obviously rattled by Kole's bunt and the Angels win 1 -0 as Kole comes in to pitch the 9th and strikes out the side. 

Yep, bank on it, this is EXACTLY how it will go tonight.

So far this year we've got Kinsler, Cozart, Calhoun, Trout, Ohtani, Simmons all moving around in the batting order but luckily we've had Pujols firmly entrenched in the cleanup spot all year

No kidding. I wonder if at some point Eppler has a chat w/Sosh about it. I mean, we're playing well, and Albert is still fairly clutch at times....but he's friggin' 40 and slow af, and this team is trying to get to October. Unless he goes on a HR binge soon (and sustains it), he needs to drop down to 6-7 IMO.

In a normal universe, shouldn't a guy with a sub .300 OBP since the beginning of 2017 be hitting below cleanup????

Trout, Ohtani, Upton, Simmons, and Cozart ALL have a higher OBP.   But NOOOOOO, Pujols and his .280 OBP and 21 measly rbis continues to bat cleanup.

I can understand batting ohtani behind trout...but why keep dropping cozart? Stick him in front of trout and that's a solid lineup other than cold Calhoun

Really like the lineup for the second straight day outside of Calhoun still being in the lineup and Pujols hitting ahead of Simmons. Almost feels like I'm going back to pre-2010.

We need to run the pitch count up on Verlander early. He has about 100 +/-5 pitch limit. He has lost his last 2 starts and the Astros have lost his 4 starts.
