Barria has an amazing changeup. He's getting some ugly swings off it. Great arm action, looks like a heater is coming, but about 10-13 MPH slower. Cray!

Barria has managed to keep his composure and pitch out of TWO jams without giving up a run. Mature beyond his years I think is what they call that.

I think Barria is going to be a Dan Haren type. Never really an ace but a consistent anchor who gets outs and doesn't put guys on base.

Glad to see Barria doing as well as he has today. On paper, not an ideal matchup between a 21 year old rookie pitcher with extreme fly ball tendencies going against the Rockies offense at Coors Field.
