And people wonder why Police get all antsy and aggressive when people keep their hands in their pockets, or reach into their pockets.  Anyways, just defund the police where they aren't wanted and let nature take it's course.

The noise the bad guy makes  is the sound of someone being held accountable for their actions for the first time

Lightfoot said officials at the White House reached out to her Tuesday morning to offer support.

The fuck does that even mean?

"Cities individually cannot tackle this problem. We just cannot. In Chicago, we've done absolutely everything possible and we need help from the federal government," Lightfoot said. 

LOL. "It's not our fault! Give us more money!" I hope Lori Lightfoot is the next black person shot in that hellhole of a city.

Lightfoot made that promise during a CBS2 Mayoral Debate two years ago when she said, “I’m determined to make sure that we’re not continuing to balance the budget on the backs of people who are least able to handle it.”

 

Lori Lightpromises probably wants federal aid to put up more speed traps.

Honestly when we had the red light cameras back in the day I often thought that if someone just started shooting them out we'd kinda have a Robin Hood situation going on, where the public support would be so overwhelming while the cops insist that they need to catch him. Obviously there are few to zero situations where that would be completely safe, but still.

Chicago mayor declares racism a public health crisis

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot declared racism a public health emergency Thursday, pointing to systematic racism as a leading factor in life expectancy discrepancies across the city.

Joined by the Chicago Department of Public Health, Lightfoot said there is a 9.2-year life expectancy gap between Black and non-Black Chicagoans.

"At almost every single point in our city's history, racism has taken a devastating toll on the health and well-being of our residents of color – especially those who are Black," Lightfoot said in a statement. "Without formally acknowledging this detrimental impact, we will never be able to move forward as a city and fully provide our communities with the resources they need to live happy and healthy lives."

Five factors contribute to the near decade-long differences in life expectancy, including chronic diseases, homicide, infant mortality, opioid overdose, and health concerns such as HIV, flu, and other infections – like the coronavirus. 

 

If they are killing themselves how is it racism?
