So, Scotty Ettin anyone good about talking about this stuff.  Any hope he improves vs. righties ? Seems like he couldn't possibly be worse.

Pretty solid deal. McGowin lost his spot in the AAA rotation with the recent moves but still has upside as a reliever. Adams has good stuff but needs to find the strike zone.

To me the biggest plus about this is that hopefully it puts the bed the idea that we might get Chase Utley.  Holy shit that would have been awful.  

Plus the Middle infield D is pretty sick.  I just hope he can make a little better contact.....

Last year of arb. Anybody have an idea of what he's likely gonna be making this upcoming season? FA after 2017 so definitely just a stop-gap which makes sense considering where this team is at right now

Trout, Calhoun, Maybin, Simmons, Espinosa, Perez. Angels definitely trying to improve overall team defense. Pujols playing 1B is still solid. Escobar is the only butcher in the field at this point and whenever Cron is at 1B

I like this trade the Angels upgrade 2B for prospects that may not even pan out.

I remember saying acquisitions like Cecil Fielder, Tim Belcher, Ken Hill, and Allen Watson weren't so bad.

Seems like we are back in those days sometimes.

BTW, Eppler just ruined my Top 30.  Adams was ranked #30 and McGowin #22.  Time to redo it.

Yep! and Simmons hit well last season after a couple poor seasons at the plate with the Braves.

Maybe the same will happen for Espinosa?

For the lolz.  Seriously though.  I can't think of one player we have aquired that has improved, and more often than not, they seem to get worse.

We are a signing away from having the best defense in all of baseball. That can go a long way to helping out the pitching.
