Pujols has another foot surgery. Rehab is 4 months

Recommended Posts

Imagine this means Cron and Marte are pretty unlikely to be traded, unless they wanted to do something crazy and sign one of the many 1B/DH types out there in an accompanying move.

Hopefully Pujols doesn't rush back, as I think he did last year. I remember he wasn't supposed to be ready for Opening Day, but he rushed back and there he was. He started pretty awful but really picked up after a month or so, and then tailed off again near the end of the year when it flared back up. Hopefully they try and go it a little more conservatively this time. Maybe with Marte and Cron now they will.

Fortunately, Pujols doesn't need a ton of AB's to be game ready, and he's a relatively quick healer.   He'll be good to go by Opening Day.

Like we haven't heard this before...dude should have been under the needle in September when we were out of the race. What is this December bullshit?

Straight up, the dude needs to slim down and lose some weight. It would not kill him to be 20, 30, maybe 40 pounds lighter.

Pretty sure he's running out of plantar fascias....   Doc isn't the typical surgery to slice the thing and it's gone?

they just finish off whatever partial tear was already there and then it scar down.  It's why Pujols runs like a cartoon character.  He kicks his feet out in front of him because he can't plant.

He runs like an idiot. Having 240 pounds constantly landing on an ankle when running instead of landing on the balls of the feet makes no sense.

Someone needs to teach him how to run, and he needs to lose weight.
