He runs like an idiot. Having 240 pounds constantly landing on an ankle when running instead of landing on the balls of the feet makes no sense.

Someone needs to teach him how to run, and he needs to lose weight.

That's my biggest concern with this. It's another offseason on him unable to do anything on his feet.

I hope they have him take his time, don't rush him for Opening Day. If he can do .250/25/100 next year, I'll take it. Keep him healthy and hope he has a normal offseason next year and hope he can maintain that line for another couple years.

Part of me is actually surprised his first five years have averaged out to be a .265/30/100 guy.

I was thinking the same thing, unless they don't think he can play a full season and want him playing in October and not March.

Read the articles and it explains it. They've been trying different therapies because he didn't feel too bad, but they didn't take. Surgery isn't always the best solution even if it seems like the most effective.

Thanks for the image, tdawg. I'll be tossing and turning all night.

I'm going to be tossing and turning all night knowing that tdawg's Google autocomplete includes "Fully Engorged Animal Penises"
