For those not interested in her being there, your opinion.  She performed well as a Softball commentator, worked the men's World Series and earned an opportunity.  Small sample size at MLB level, she has proved t be better than many of her counterparts.

As someone who has caoched/followed softball a lot in the last 10-15 years due to daughters I am honestly surprised that this hasn't been done sooner.  Aside from the pitchers the game translates well.  If anything its actually faster paced and has some nuances the hardball game doesnt have. 
We have many announcers that haven't played these games and many so-called color guys that are freaking terrible, I welcome this.
