Its really hard to figure out what Eppler's plan is, after aquiring Simmons I thought maybe the goal was to get younger while still being competitive, Starlin would've been good imo.

If the plan is to just get a LF'er and patch up 3rd and stick with Gia I just don't see how we're much better. Our lineup will once again be front loaded with it being a miracle if 6-9 produce anything

So you are upset because we didn't get Starlin freaking Castro who is not that great to begin with. I'd argue a worse hitter than simmons. Eppler can't aquire every player on every team and sign every free agent. Relax fam

Wonder if the Halos target Rob Refsnyder now that Castro is with the NYY. I could see a Hector Santiago for Refsnyder framework for a deal. 

 

Refsynder is a 24 year old rookie 2B who hit .302/.348/.512 in the majors last year in 43 ab's after hitting .271/.359/.402 in AAA. 

 

There's the obvious Eppler-NYY connection, and Refsnyder went to Laguna Hills HS.

we are being dusted right now.  If i had my way, we'd have Zobrist at 2b and we'd still have Aybar at SS with Newcomb and Ellis to work with in trade if necessary.

No, but there would be interest and a market for them. I don't think any of them are going to return anything crazy, but Eppler should be able to find at least one solid piece for one of them.
