It isn't that I think Erstad would be a great manager (I don't know if he would or wouldn't), it is the idea of him in a Dodger uniform that makes me throw up in my mouth a bit.

I would be so sad seeing Ersty with the Dodgers.  Just like I was to see GA in that uni.

Ersty in a Dogs uniform just doesn't seem right.

 

But on the other hand, the one time the Halos hired a college coach without pro coaching experience, Bobby Winkles lasted only a year and a half before being replaced by Dick Williams.    Granted, the Dogs have a lot more talent than the 1973-1974 Halos had.

As much as I'd dislike seeing him in a Dodger uniform seeing someone like him try to reign in professional athletes especially one like  like Puig would be entertaining at the very least.  It would suck to have to root against him but I wouldn't fault him at all since he apparently wants to be a pro coach some day.
