    I think part of the reason Keith Johnson was promoted was to help Thaiss and Ward when they are called up. Also, might be a chance for Johnson and Chavez to showcase their coaching skills before the end of the year.

    On MLBNetwork's top prospect show, the Baseball America writers thought Tatis could be called up by the end of the year.

    Their farm system is loaded. They have Tatis Jr. coming to the bigs in a year. Hosmer, Myers, Tatis Jr., Margot and Renfroe is a nice offensive core to build around.

    I did not realize that the CBA expires on Thursday and a lockout is a real possibility. Team officials will not attend winter meetings if a lockout occurs.
