I think the reason none of us noticed how bad Gillespie's numbers have been is because we've been focused on how bad Trout's and Albert's have been along with Johnny G's D and a pinch of Ianutta/Salas/Victorino/Da Jesus.

A year ago today, I would've predicted Cowart's chances at making it to the big leagues as a 3B were less likely than his chances of being struck by lightning.  An outstanding year of adjustment for him.  He deserves this.

I thought he did very well.  The kid has a great arm.  The first one is out of the way, now he can relax, and go for a hit.  Sometimes this organization doesn't give its farm players time to develop properly because of the "win now" pressures.  Keep him in there and let him play, we have Kubitza and eventually Freese if it gets too much for him this year.

its a really great story, last year at this time i was all in that this guy was a massive 1st round bust for us.  Great to see how he's turned it around and that glove is legit!! Hopefully he truly has figured something out and can hold down the position.
