Is this a thing now? Watching other people play video games like it's a movie?

God, I must be old.

 

He was probably watching cinematics that tell storyline with the game play examples.

I'm still playing skyrim, just started the dragonborn side quest.

You wouldn't be if you had some Daedric armor instead of your bathrobe for protection.

I don't have a PS3 so I'll never be able to play Last of Us. Next best thing is to watch it on youtube.

 

Get a PS 4 and play the remastered version.

I got the Lengendary Edition of Skyrim and really, really tried to get into it but just couldn't.  It always felt like 5 hours passed, it was 3 am and I was still trying to get to the waypoint or would spot a cave or dungeon, play for a bit and sit there thinking "Wait, what the hell was suppposed to do again?".  Its like video game equivalent of a casino in terms of time-suck.  Same thing happened with Obilvion although I liked Skyrim better.  I appreciate the open world aspects, the modding/upgrading/leveling but, for some reason, it always felt like something was missing from the main narrative to keep me engage.  Considering its support and reviews, probably my fault.

Just saw the previews of the Mad Max game coming out in September. It looks so ****ing legit. I'm thinking PS4 is the way to go for me.

Just beat Wolfenstein: New Order. 

 

Thought it would be another stupid shooter with some mind numbing story.

 

Really surprised me. Game had great character.  Started off slow but finished strong.

Probably the best single player shooter I've played since Bioshock.

I used the dragonscale stuff. Then again I am level 80 and have my armor crafting and enchanting skills fully upgraded.

Dragon armor is a little to heavy for anything but tanking. Just carrying the damn scales and bones around took up half your inventory weight after killing one of those dumb birds. I was guzzling beer like crazy just to haul the crap back to sell it and of course nobody has enough coin so you end up with a closet full of crap.

 

I started getting really anal retentive and sorted all of my gear in different closets and drawers with that intention of selling it all but never could get rid of it fast enough. Before you know it you have three houses full of crap and can't find the frigging amulet you need.

If i remember right (it's been over a year since I played) There was dragon plate (heavy) and Dragon scale (Light) but yeah you're right about the weight of the items. I built a badass house that has all kinds of mannequins decorated with almost every kind or armor. I am a proud Skyrim nerd of it

It wasn't that exciting. Mage vs mage battles usually aren't. It was basically me running around and hiding and shooting lightning bolts

Agreed...but I can never get to the main mission.  I get distracted by doing random crap which eventually degenerated to me driving at full speed, running into things and trying to escape the police.  Like two hours of it...its the greatest destructive driving simulator ever created.

Sooo...I'm not an FPS kinda guy, just never could get into it.

 

I love playing RTS though. Have played/owned every version of Civilization (including Beyond Earth) and Sim City. Really into a lot of the games that Paradox does (EU series, HOI series, Victoria, CK). Play them constantly on my PC.

 

Have an XBox 360, and still have most of the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, as well as most of the poker games that came out. Don't play them much any more because of the above games (which are time-consuming).
