Terrible news.  I've been a long time lurker on this site and always enjoyed his posts in particular.  Especially those disparaging the yanks.  My condolences to Mike's friends and family.

I knew he was struggling, but didn't expect it so soon. 

I last had conversed with him via texts a couple of weeks ago.

I didn't know the guy and maybe replied to one or two of his posts (or vice-versa), but I'm real sorry this happened and t o everyone it affected.

 

I've had one of my friends die from cancer a few years ago and the only thing (of real value)  I had of her was on my email (which I never used). I almost lost all of her messages to me and I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you guys and gals don't let that happen to you.

 

That's the only real positive spin I can put on this (if you want to call it that).

One of my longtime LB State grad friends has battled breast cancer on and off for 25 years. 

It went into remission, but returned this year and metastasized to two other areas.

 

She battles on and on, partly due to her nature as a former college athlete (basketball at LB).   To all in the group, she is a saint for how she has faced this for so long.

Ery sorry to hear the news. I didnt know hom very well, just time to time left a comment to one of his or vice versa, but he seemed like a great guy. That hat is pretty recognizable on this board.

Ive been spotty posting/reading here for a while because ive been so busy at work, but just read this thread from the beginning. I guess i totally missed it when it was first started (had no idea he was sick until this thread resurfaced the other night and had no idea how advanced it was).

Very, very sad. Im sure everyone on here has experienced cancer either personally or to someone close to them. I cant stand it.

Once again, RIP Percy. Prayers to those of you who knew him better than me and to his family.
