I don't know, but I'm glad that the Thunder did. Word from the OKC camp is that Ibaka has been griping about his role on the team, and he has one year left on his contract. OKC didn't want to be put into the situation of Ibaka demanding a trade during the season, which would have driven his value down.

No idea what this does to their negotiations with Kevin Durant.

Financial difficulty won't be there until after this TV deal is done. I can easily see in a few years that TV money is going to go down across all sports but until that happens, both the owners and players are going to be like Scrooge McDuck swimming in money.
