My biggest concern is if MLB declared the players from the Angels Jan. 15, 2021 international class free agents.

That would, among others, make Edgar Quero a free agent.

Terrible, evil practice to promise the world to vulnerable and impoverished families and then being like, "Nah, go f yourselves." I hope the Angels get sued for every cent they promised to these guys, and that this practice gets eradicated from the MLB.

What changed from two years ago?  The GM.  It's not uncommon for change in management to make these sorts of decisions, but it's interesting to see them actually try to sue the team.

The good news for the Angels is, we have no international presence in scouting.  So how could we renig on a deal when no one was there.

It's kind of funny that the Angels specifically are the ones that make the headline in all of these scandals. Obviously this sort of thing happens with multiple organizations, along with the poor minor league conditions and clubhouse drug use, but time and again the Angels are the ones getting outed. Exactly, there is no way MLB would declare all January 2021 Halos int’l signees as FAs.

The Braves situation was different (skirting the bonus limits).  Red Sux were also tagged back then for the same thing, losing all of their int’l signees from a previous year.
