I know it won't happen, but if this becomes a long term thing, the "no-duh" decision would be to put Richards back in the rotation, where he belongs.  No instead we'll just see a lot of Jekyll and Hyde Hanson and Joe Blanton, which no one deserves.  Meanwhile Jerome and Garrett don't start..

But seriously, why the **** are we bringing up Buckner?  There are a bunch of better options (Shoemaker, Berg, Brasier, etc.)

Buckner earned this call up by his only outing he had this year. This shouldn't piss you off. You know better than I do about this stuff, but I am sure starting their MLB clock has something to do with it.

Richards isn't stretched out at this point. Not sure you seem him back in the rotation without going down to AAA for a start or two first. I would almost consider Richards to be the white flag on the season...if they move to get him in the starting rotation, that's the signal the brass has given up on 2013.

 

The other scenario would be when Madsen comes up...laugh...ok, never mind...
