Netflix:  Witcher Season 2  Truthfully, didn't remember much of season 1, so rewatched it.  Season 1 was kind of the setup.  Where Season 2 brings things together.  Has kind of a Game of Thrones/Vikings/Lord of the Rings vibe with mythical creatures in it.  Definitely set up for a season 3.  I enjoyed it, but I like that kind of fantasy/d&d type show.

Season one had unconnected flashbacks that never were explained and disconnected enough that you weren't certain which time frame the storyline was in. So following any given storyline was difficult, was the actions taking place events steered by the past or were they the impetus.

There are some very good shows. If you're not afraid of subtitles, even more.

Somehow my new tvs are stuck w the subtitles on (im seriously too lazy to scroll the menu and turn them off). So even the shows in english Im reading the subtitles, like an idiot...

Makes me feel like im reading a book instead of watching tv. And then i feel mature. And learn-ed

Ha. I watch so many foreign shows that i usually leave the subtitles on because it seems weird not to.

Don't Look Up

My first thought was 'this feels like a poor Adam McKay impression' and then I remembered that this was actually an Adam McKay film. It's way too on the nose to be good satire. It's funny in moments but never really laugh out loud funny. It kind of wants to be Idiocracy while also wanting to live in the real world, unfortunately the real world is already absurd enough as it is that turning it up to 11 doesn't really play.
