Gameday Thread: Red Sox @ Angels (7/6/21): Stassi catching for Ohtani who is also in the lineup

It's about time we see Stassi get matched up with Ohtani and simply match them up because they are both Japanese heritage.  It's not even like Suzuki is fluent in Japanese.

According to this Suzuki ranks as one of the worst in Called Strikes above Average while Stassi ranks 5th best in the entire league.

There is no excuse to have him catching all of Ohtani's start especially when his biggest weakness is ability to throw strikes.

Ward > Rojas. But yeah, after that night, I'd rather see Lagares benched and Ward in CF.

I think this move has more to do with keeping Rengifo in the lineup, giving him an extended audition with Rendon out.

Is it possible the stadium curse has a focus at 3b?  Or maybe he had cramps.

But Trout, Rendon and Upton all being out, that’s a third of the batting order and really good hitters.  Sucks.
