Whats crazy is that even with Trout out, with Fletcher hitting, Ohtani breaking out, Walsh emerging, and Rendon being his normal, this offense would still be very, very good.

I'm so sick of these "he's a slow starter" bullshit excuses. The guy is hitting like shit, he's watching pitches he should be hitting, he's swinging at pitches out of the zone, his contact is poor. 

Consistent at bats my ass, his approach is horrible and I'm not impressed with his defense at 3rd either. 

He got his ring, he got his green paper, he has an owner who holds nobody accountable for poor performance, so what's the sense of urgency for him to produce? 

Whoops, poor throw to first, guess we'll try to get that fixed tomorrow. Whoops a bad swing at a pitch out of the zone, we'll get 'em tomorrow is pretty much how his posture reads out on the field. And it's horseshit.

Unless his approach changes, I don't expect much from him the rest of the time he's here. And it's a shame because initially I liked his signing.

So many players that sign big deals have their production go down. This year for Angels fan favorite Fletcher and now Rendon. Meanwhile Tampa and Oakland keep plugging along year after year in the playoffs with low budget. Artie hit reset button start playing younger players build for next year and beyond.

People keep talking about Fletcher and his “big contract”. It’s $5 million a year.  Hardly a big contract.  There were people who felt the Angels took advantage of him and lowballed him.  Those were good days.

Fletcher did sign a big contract considering he was a scrub before that.

Rendon does need to get going.  These prolonged stretches of being useless at some point become difficult excuse away even when he does get hot.  Anyway, I’m sure he’ll get going.  Not great all the same.

He does need to get it going but it doesn’t really matter if our pitching is giving up 5+ runs literally every game.

Our offense is good enough to compete, even without Trout. But again, the pitching is fucking it all up. No offense can score 6+ runs a game. Maybe the '27 Yankees.
