If he gets his blister issues under control all he needs is consistency and his command will improve. It's all about repetition and repeating the delivery from start to start. He's still in the knocking the rust off state IMO.

I guess if he’s productive even though it’s  ugly as can be then I’m ok with him pitching. Wins are wins

Velocity is down. That’s a concern.  He’s not throwing his FB.  And when he does, he’s working more 94-96.  Hit 98 once I think.  Hopefully it’s just The blister. But always a concern especially with Ohtani

I am just concerned if he is 100% healthy.

My point is simply that velocity isn't his issue tonight.  It doesn't matter if he was throwing 101.  He doesn't have command.

If he wasn't healthy he wouldn't be throwing in the high 90's. It's not an issue.

This could be all that it is but wouldn’t they keep him off the mound if he has a blister. That needs to heal before he pitches in purposeful games and makes it worse.

They did keep him off the mound until it healed. That's why he hasn't started in nearly 2 weeks
