Wasn't pretty, but Shohei got through it. He's got some control issues to work on, and F me did Suzuki do a bad job helping him out on some close ones. But at least it should help with his confidence. Knowing he can get through a bad night when he's having trouble locating is a big deal for him. He managed to avoid the meltdown inning.

Yeah, I mean it seemed like he was basically just guessing where the ball was going to end up.  Can't really blame him for not "framing" pitches like that.

This has really nothing to do with Ohtani. He has been bad at this catching our other hurlers as well.
