Good for the Padres.  Hopefully it's one of several team milestones that they have this year.

i got to watch the last inning and a third. good for the padres, finally got that off their back. they also had never hit for the cycle, until wil meyers did it for them a few years back or so. i think machado and maybe another may have done it since then in their uniform.

JFC.  Imagine how incredible of a rotation the Pirates could have had if they kept those guys, lol.  Then again, those pitchers probably would not have become what they are today had they just stayed with the Pirates.

Regarding CG’s, no MLB pitcher has had more than 2 in a season going back to 2017.

One year, they will become as rare as the hidden ball trick.

That’s actually not true, as pitchers can combine on a no hitter like Cole and Pena did in 2019.
