SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19

Some stock information.  But it's interesting because they really look at what these  "vaccines" do.  The way they are describing it, 3 of the 4 are Nyquil, where the 4th is an actual vaccine.  Unfortunately, the 4th is also just out of the 1st stage of trials, so it's going to be a while.

Which Biotech Company Has the Most Promising Coronavirus Vaccine?

Edit  I just looked at it again, and the 4th is in stage 3, not 1.

I'm downright amazed at the number of right-wingers on twitter who've already decided that the vaccine will be some sort of evil gov't tracking mechanism. "first they said you had to wear a mask to go out in public. next they'll say you have to have the vaccine to return to work or go the mall or a ball game." etc.

is it possible they could put some kind of organic marker in a vaccine that could be used for tracking us?

I found this article, that using just this small quote out of context, and then you get the picture of where the fringe will run with it.

https://www.who.int/vaccine_safety/initiative/detection/immunization_misconceptions/en/index4.html

And this is from the WHO and CDC, so it gives that little bit of ammo that the fringes need.

Quote

Most surveillance systems report events that are temporally associated with receipt of vaccine;

Do these people deem themselves important enough that anyone would bother to track them?

Yes. They have been on welfare their entire lives but still don't like or trust the government. They have never lived more than five miles from where they were born but still think the government is tracking them lat all times as if they're Jason Bourne moving around Europe.

Why not just keep your cash and wait for the market to shit itself again.  Which is coming.  Then buy some etf’s that cover large cap companies.  Or invest in some fund invested in companies that aren’t going to go belly up.   Seems pretty fool proof to me.

I think it’s funny that these people think the government is incapable of delivering essentially anything to it’s citizens but at the same time they believe in these vast extremely sophisticated conspiracies.  Like vaccine mind control or whatever shit.  Just completely incoherent.

The government could have responded effectively to this. It didn't. Now we all eat a shit sandwich for the foreseeable future. Good times.

Please detail those effective steps that could have been immediately implemented.

That's funny you ask because the White House Coronavirus Task Force just recently produced an unpublished document for each state of effective steps that could be immediately implemented. There looks like there is no actual effort from the WH to implement those.

I think it has to do with how we transmit information these days. Before facts were vetted by trained journalists, and a collection of facts was translated into an accepted narrative that was reported to the public via newspapers and tv news. That isn't to say that those narratives were always correct, of course. Today we are seeing the prevalence of factoids, small bites of information, often without context, occasionally completely made up even - stuff we never would've learned about before. Trained journalists have been replaced by 'citizen reporters' or employed by organizations looking to push specific types of narratives.

We have access to far too much information and many of us lack a new skill required to parse it correctly. It's been shown that belief in conspiracy theories is tied to mental illness, and it makes sense when you try and have conversations with these people. They have enough factoids to poke holes in accepted theories but they can never seem to see that the same information discredits their own theories. A great example of that are the 9/11 truthers who say that the pentagon was hit by a missile while the towers were rigged to blow up and the planes were flown by trained CIA operatives. At that point they don't seem capable of wondering why the government didn't just pick one lane and run with it.
