start a thread and tell is what he should have done.

Obviously he should have filled the 40 man roster with MLB capable players.  You know, so the Angels have enough depth to make out the 25 man roster.

Probably should have added about 15 more MLB capable players at the deadline too, to support the second half of the season. :sarcasmon:

Who else is prepping for their Angels tryout?  We have to be getting close to a call.

Pena's injury exemplifies this season. Stepping on a base and suffering a major injury - i.e., the most innocuous of moves having the most severe consequence.

Same thing that happened to G Rich, albeit different kind of knee injury.

It's no longer bad luck when it happens every single year. There needs be a contingency plan in place. If that takes spending 75 mil in one offseason on starting pitching because everyone will suck or get injured then what's what the GM needs to do.

The alternative is to just give up which is what's happening as it is and may be the more likely solution. Just accept our eternal fate as a 78 win team and live with it.

Just start Cahill, if he gets hurt so be it.  I am guessing when we looked at rotation depth to start the year we maybe hoped that we would get a spot start from guys like Suarez or Peters.  Now they are our #1 and #2.  We have Sandoval throwing some innings starting tomorrow.  Just pitch Cahill 8 innings every fifth day.
