If you read his healthcare bill it turns over all healthcare to State control.

Not even close. It's a single payer plan. Doctors and hospitals do not become federal employees, such as in the UK NHS. It eliminates health insurance companies, which I am 100% in favor of. Biggest bunch of thieves on the planet.

I think Bernie needs to rethink his "tax the wealthy" plan. As far as I know, you can't tax stocks unless they're sold. I'm not sure what the income is of guys like Bezos, Bloomberg, Musk etc... but I'll assume it's significantly lower than their net worth, which is mostly in stocks. I mean these guys aren't sitting on billions of dollars in their savings account at TD. While it's likely still very significant, it's not going to add up the way he thinks it will.

Income inequality is a problem for sure, but I don't think taxing the wealthy is the right way to go.

If their INCOME is over a million per year then yeah tax them a little more I guess if that will help, but it's going to cause a lot of issues. I mean how many people make that kind of income?

Tax everyone more. I'll gladly pay an extra $200 a year in taxes if it will cover healthcare.

You were dead on until the last sentence. Of course you would pay the amount of a couple of co pays for healthcare. That isn't how it can be funded.

yes, it is a single payer to the US government. That is state controlled healthcare. Eliminating Health Insurance companies puts the monopoly of healthcare under the Fedral government ( the worlds biggest theif) where you will not have any arbitrating power to have services rendered that an independent health care policy would cover.

Why are you people so dense you can't read exactly what happens in the European and Candadian healthcare systems and believe it will be better if the US government takes over? How did you all become such sheep?

Would you please read up on socialized medicine in foriegn countries and how many healthcare issues they do not cover because they are deemed elective. How long waiting lists are for specialists are more than months and sometimes years because there are never enough for the caseloads and the rejections for services are the norm because your condition like a torn knee ligament isn't life threatening.

This is so fuckojg frustratiing that you all have no desire to actaully research what it means to have your government in charge of healthcare. Only the truly rich will be affording what you think you will recieve, through private, independent practice.

What are the lefties issues with Obama Care? My two sisters are poor AF and get subsidized plans that seem to be covering far more than the discussions on here would lead me to believe.

These days the libs are starting to sound like a bunch of republicans when the topic comes up. Bernie is planning to 'repeal and replace' just as much as Trump was.

I don’t need to read up on anything to know that the government running something is less than ideal

Considering that it would be the end of a parasitic industry, I consider that collateral damage. I am guessing that the federal government would need quite a few additional people to administer Medicare and process claims, and those people should be qualified.

Not hard at all. Not doing your work for you. Spend some time and come back with your rainbows and unicorns assesment of the UK and Canadian health care system. Also, please don't forget to research real world costs, not some starry eyed idea your only going to pay $200 a year.

Go do your own research. UK is ranked #1 in healthcare.
