What are the sources? I can't read Athletic articles due to pay wall and I'm at work so I don't feel like signing up for work arounds etc

Both the Laker quote and person within the Ms went un-named.   So, again -- lots of hearsay but there appears to be more coming out about both her and the M's situation.   I will say this much, she absolutely is coming across as someone with an axe to grind.

Agree, but like many employment situations that go bad the Mariners did not do their due diligence in hiring a high level employee.  Then again, they seem to have a history of that.

On the other hand, the Dr. better be right and get some money from this because she won’t be getting another job soon.  At the end of the day, you want to hire qualified people but you also want to be able to work with them....

Absolutely, the Rosenthal article pretty much calls the Ms out on their process regardless of whether or not it actually happened how she claims it did.  It's pretty pointed.

The narrative is that she may be a difficult person.... my guess is she perceived the situation to be sexist/discriminatory, and less likely to be fabricated but who knows.   All I know is the timing sucks for the Ms.I

Reminds me of the Hamilton drama and how that stink stuck with the Halos.

I believe it was Rosenthal that was point on that debaucle and was critical of the Angels looking to have Hamilton suspended according to MLB rules. He should have been.

that was unreal.  Still believe that Arte had 'prearranged' with the commissioners office that if Josh relapsed he was either out for good or at least for the remaining length of his contract with the halos.  Then the arbitrator made that ruling.

He did -- pretty harshly.   He took the whole, "he turned himself in" narrative and tried to make him out to be a good guy for coming forward while ignoring he only came forward to avoid testing positive and having his contract voided.

i tried to defend his decision to walk away, citing there were probably things to the story that were not public yet and it may have been justified.

i wasn't wrong that there was more to the story, but i was way off base on trying to defend him.

I was there, too. Hooked like a junk fish. Boy, was that a bad call.
