.... If Fletcher isn't starting in the next game..

Recommended Posts

Make no mistake, the Angels AAA offense this year is better than their major league offense. Trout, Upton, Simmons and Ohtani are all good, but Valbuena, Cozart, Pujols, Marte, Maldonado, Calhoun were all garbage.

By contrast, the AAA squad has featured JMF, Fletcher, Thaiss, Ward, Hermosillo, Liriano, Blash, Revere, Carter...

If you could remove all exterior influences and just went with the guys that play the best, we'd have Ward at 3B, Fletch at SS, Thaiss at 1B, JMF at DH, Blash in RF....

No to Blash.  He has not shown that he can be an MLB player.  How can he not tag second base on his way back to first?  Guess he never had to do that in SLC?

Just NO.

Blash dominance with his short time at the Angel's clearly shows why he deserves to be starting every day

Anyone who follows the minors, does fletcher seem like hes ready?

Fletcher is a high floor, lower ceiling prospect, and Gus like that tend to need less time in the minors.

Fletcher likely won't be an all-star, but he will either be a very good utility player or a passable starting 2B. As for if he's ready or not, I'll just say that AAA clearly wasn't a challenge for him, and there's no level left in the minors for him to develop at.

He's as ready as minor league baseball can make a player.

He'll be a spark plug, but he'll also have stretched where he provides nothing at the plate. It's all part of the learning process.

Agreed until BlashTrash’s name came up!   Dude can’t even hit 88 mph fastballs down the middle!   And committed a boneheaded baserunning mistake!!!!

If we continue to lose and fall, say 10-15 games behind a playoff spot, Scioscia will not be managing next year. That is, if the ownership still has a shred of decency left. Enough is enough. Complete overhaul is needed.

Next year no Valbuena, Cozart, Kinsler, Young, Maldonado, Marte,  and most of the bullpen. Trade Richards before his value goes to zero.

If this year goes bad and the Angels lose a lot than the manager is definitely gone.... otherwise if this season did not matter than they would have done an extension before this season started.

Maldonado and Richards will probably be back at the right price.  Cozart will absolutely be back.  The rest can go now.
